Flat Plan of Website Pages

when i began to create our own band website, or at least the layout and concept for it, i looked at two main websites for inspiration. The first one of these was the Muse website (http://muse.mu/). I used this website mainly for ideas on layout and how to incorporate all of the relevant information on the website in the most professional manner.

As you can see from the flatplan drawing of our homepage, I used the Muse website as a model to base our website on, aws i believe that it displays all the relevant information a band website would need in a clear and simple way. This is mainly due to the fact that there are different pages for every little part of the band, as well as the slightly transparent boxes that are placed behind any text, making it much easier to see.
For inspiration for an 'Enter Site' page, Liam knew of a local band 'Rosie' (http://www.rosietheband.com/), who has a very interesting website layout and design.

As you can see from the screenshot of the websites homepage, it is a very simplistic and minimalistic website design. This is not only what we were aiming for in our own designs, but this also included black and white background images which is something we were also hoping to use. From this scan of the flatplan, you can see that I was aiming for the same simplistic feel, using a plain, black font for the band name in the centre of the screen, and a black and white image in the background. Something else i am hoping to incorporate into our own website, from the .gif below is light-up text on this page. This is because it adds an extra element into the website.
