Synopsis of Video

For our video we are going to include some editing features such as fast and slow motion. This is to create a surreal feel to the video to conform to the indie genre. We also thought about some of the video in the music video travelling through the ages, from the 60s up in decades to present day. By the chorus we though about cutting between present day and other eras like The Beatles. We have looked to professional videos like A Punk by Vampire Weekend to base our video on. Using one framed shot but varying the position of the performers for a variety of shots. We were also going to just shoot a performance based video with no narrative as we found in our research that in many indie music video there is no narrative. The performers will all have props and costume fitting to different iconic bands from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The setting with be simple throughout the video so we are heavily relying on the costume and props.
