Initial Music Video Research

For the locations of the music video that we will eventually make I think that having more then one setting is essential. In each of the music videos I analysed there were around 3 or 4 different main setting throughout the song.
For props we need to use actual musical instruments that look that they are being played live with amps for guitars etc.
With costume and make up for the guys in our video we need to make them as natural as possible. Also depending on our genre and target audience we need to make sure we get appropriate clothing. For instance for an indie band we need to have trendy on fashion clothing.
When filming our music video we will need some equipment to create a variety of shots. For instance a fig rig to shoot close up shots of individual members of a band. We will also need camera stands and tracks for still/stead long shots of all of the band.

In our video we will use real musicians for the performance so that it looks authentic and syncing up the music and performers is easier.
