Research into Audience

This is a global voting of peoples favourite music genre, there are 22000 votes. From the list the music genre Rock was the most popular genre with 17% of the votes with  alternative music sowing second with 13% of votes. The punk genre that i researched comes under the rock genre so I am targeting large mainstream audience.

***UPDATE***
As a group we have decided to change our genre from pop punk to indie. This would also mean targeting a mainstream audience as Alternative music was the seconded most popular music genre. This means we need to include in the video and image of the band more in trend clothing. We need to position guitar higher when playing them as that is more of an indie trend. We also need to make the video light and happy.

Some of our initial ideas for the video to conform to the indie genre would be to shoot mainly a performance based video. We were thinking about using a single shot but moving the performers around in that shot. We have also looked to Indie Bands such as Two Door Cinema Club-

We are going to base what we where to similar to Two Door Cinema Club as well as using similar instruments like Fender Telecaster guitars.
